The Series that Ended the Russell Wilson Era

I watched "highlights" of the NY Giants game against the Kansas City Chiefs again, and I still can't figure out what in the world Russell Wilson was thinking the last time they got into the red zone. I understand if there is no one open, you throw the ball away over a player's head. I don't even want to try to figure out why Russell Wilson thought it was a good idea to throw the ball down the tunnel on the first down. Not only did it cause a loss of a down, but it also took away any chance of running the ball. Which means they had only two downs to get the ball into the end zone. On third down, no one is open, so he threw the ball away again, that made sense. At this time, the situation was it was fourth down, they were losing the game by two scores and time was running out. The answer is you throw the ball at one of your players, even if you have to force it in. If the ball is intercepted, so what? At least you gave your player a chance. Throwing the ball over their head with no chance of catching the ball didn't make any sense at all. This series proved to me that it was time for the NY Giants to move on from Russell Wilson.
