This past weekend, I watched my first AI-long video (that I am aware of). It was a rather compelling story about Mike Wolfe of American Pickers being on trial for the murder of his cohost, Frank Fritz. The problem was that the murder story was false. Frank Fritz wasn't murdered; he died of a stroke. Sadly, this false video has been repeated both on YouTube and social media. Looking back, there were red flags in the video that made us question its truthfulness. However, it was believable enough to make us wonder if it was true. Which led me to check several articles on the internet. Unfortunately, some of the articles repeated the story from the video. I finally got the real story from the Snopes article. I guess the point of this story is that if something seems fishy or unbelievable, it probably is. Don’t rely on one source; check other sources.
